If price is your main concern, there are two levers: the package and the length. HD Premium costs less than 4K Premium at every length, and longer plans cost less per month. Here's how that plays out, and what to watch for when you see deals elsewhere that look far cheaper.
Our lowest prices
- Lowest up-front cost: HD Premium, 1 month, 1 screen, at £11.99.
- Lowest monthly equivalent: HD Premium, 36 months, 1 screen, at £149.99 in total, which works out at £4.17 a month.
- A balanced choice: HD Premium, 12 months, 1 screen, at £64.99, or £5.42 a month.

Ways to keep the cost down
Don't pay for 4K you can't see
4K Premium only pays off with a 4K TV, a 4K-capable device and fast broadband. If any of those is missing, HD Premium gives you the same picture for less. Our 4K Premium guide explains exactly what's required.
Choose the right number of screens
Each extra screen adds to the price. Count how many people genuinely watch different things at the same time. Our multiple screens guide walks through typical households.
Share screens across the household
Per person, more screens can work out cheaper. HD Premium for 12 months costs £5.42 a month on 1 screen, but £2.92 per screen per month on 4 screens. If several people in your home would otherwise each buy their own plan, one plan with more screens costs less.
Go longer once you know it works
Start with a short plan to check everything works on your setup, then move to 12 months or more for the lower monthly rate.
Use the device you already have
You may not need new hardware. Many smart TVs, phones, tablets and computers can run an IPTV player app. Check our devices guide before buying anything.
Other costs to budget for
- Player apps: most are free, but some TV apps, such as Smart IPTV, charge a one-off activation fee to their developer, and some players sell optional upgrades.
- A device: only if what you own can't run a suitable player.
- A TV Licence: needed to watch live TV in the UK through any service, including IPTV. A colour licence costs £180 a year from 1 April 2026.
- A VPN: not needed at home. Our VPN guide explains why.
When cheap is too cheap
Prices far below the going rate are often a warning sign rather than a bargain. Be wary of any IPTV offer that:
- advertises “every channel”, every match or named premium channels at a tiny price;
- sells “lifetime” access for a one-off payment;
- gives no business name, contact details, terms or refund information;
- only accepts payment methods with no buyer protection;
- asks you to install apps from unknown websites rather than official app stores.
Services like that can disappear without notice, and some put your devices or payment details at risk. Our guide is IPTV legal in the UK? explains the legal side, and how to read IPTV reviews helps you check a provider before paying.
